Title: Vintage Joe Talirunili Stonecut Print

RARE Original Vintage Joe Talirunili Stonecut print. Signed and titled in syllabics in pencil on paper below print. Also the artist has carved his name, JOE, in the stone itself so that it is a part of the print. And he has carved details about the image in syllabics into the stone itself, which is also part of the print. Title translation: HUNTING ON LAND AND BY WATER. Dated 1963. Numbered 12/30. This is one of Joe’s early stonecuts in a small edition of only 30 signed and numbered copies. Generally good condition with some mild age discoloration and a few small spots and surface flaws. However please note this print was formerly framed using tape along the top edges. There are three areas of pink colored adhesive residue along top edge which are clearly visible when it is viewed outside of a frame/mat. But these spots can easily be hidden by cutting a mat to fit the image and cover the tape spots. Note that the image I have provided shows the print with the outer edges/margins cut off, as it would appear if matted with the edges covered.
