Vintage Original ink Drawing – “Spirits on the Run”. Signed in syllabics by Pitseolak Ashoona. Circa 1970. This drawing is one of many ink drawings created during this period, which became printed etchings. A series of limited edition etchings were created using these wonderful spirit animals as inspiration. But this drawing is one of a kind. It was previously framed and the paper edges are cream colored where they were covered by matboard. The uncovered paper, which has been exposed to light for many years, has some mild age discoloration. It is actually in excellent condition for a drawing of this age. The drawing itself has not faded and is in great condition. The paper is very thin and has some mild handling wear overall.
